This is the personal website of Chaz Southard. Formally, this website included personal writings, artwork and advocacy experiences. This year (2011) I decided to resurrect my website with the main intention of sharing the latest research news and providing commentary. I’m cautiously hopeful that lab discoveries will translate into human treatment.

My personal blog from 2004–2008 remains private and available for those who wish to read via email.

In time, I hope to expand the site to include professional and personal information, but for now the site will primarily exist to document discoveries and timelines.
